TRY READING with the TITANS

Working in partnership with Inspire Rotherham, the Titans Community Foundation has developed its renowned reading programme, and the work with children started in September.

The Reading Buddies scheme will look to improve the reading skills of young people, and encourage them to read more, especially at home. The Rotherham Titans rugby players will visit a number of selected Rotherham Junior schools right through the season and to the end of term next summer.

The players started their week at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Rawmarsh and were joined by ‘Spark’, the Inspire Rotherham Mascot.

The team will promote reading together and set goals for the children they are partnered with such as trying new reading material, and to read more with their family.
