Make IT Simple: The aim was to identify a target group of children who were supported by a teacher to produce a SERIES of Podcasts to support a new ICT project, culminating in a Podcast competition in July 2010 at the ICT Conference. The school team was supported by an external consultant - part of the Rotherham School Effectiveness Service who provided technical advice and guidance. Children were encouraged to develop personal, thinking and listening skills as part of the process. Parents were invited to attend a celebratory evening at schools which showcased the work achieved on the project. This reinforced the important part the parent plays in the child’s development and promoted effective and positive communication and further developed ‘home-school links and parental engagement.
