Jamie gave a presentation that included stories of his childhood and his family life, he spoke about Grizzly Tales and The Revenge Files of Alistair Fury, where he gets his ideas from when writing stories, he also gave a reading from his latest novel The Incredible Luck of Alfie Puck. Three lucky Children received signed copies of the book.
Chris Wormell did a 45 minute presentation at the masterclass. Chris is a self taught artist, and he received the 2004 New York Times Book Review Best Illustrated Children’s book award for ‘Teeth, Tails and Tenticles’. He also illustrated George and the Dragon and has a keen interest in myths and drawing mythical creatures/animals, which he covered as part of his presentation. With the use of flipchart and audience participation Chris drew a mythical beast. One lucky child came up with the name for the creature and Chris awarded them with the picture which he signed.
