What are Inspire Rotherham doing for World Book Day 2010?
Inspire Rotherham are marking World Book Day 4th March 2010 by sending a special gift pack of books and literacy materials to the charity The Book Bus in Zambia.

The Book Bus runs a mobile library service in Zambia and Ecuador which tours around schools, hospitals and orphanages. They aim to give children who otherwise would not have access to books the chance to gain enjoyment from, and to learn from, books and reading. The Book Bus runs with a crew of enthusiastic volunteers who engage with the children and their teachers to promote reading in a fun and creative way. The bus has been decorated by the well known children’s illustrator Quentin Blake and attracts much attention on it’s journey. The gift pack will be presented in Zambia in June 2010.
